Welcome to LAX! You exit the plane, take the escalator dow two flights to the baggage claim area, exit towards ground transportation, your friend pulls up, picks you up and asks “Are you hungry?”

You reply “Yes!”

“Where do you want to go?” asks your friend.

You give your friend a puzzled look, not from being undecided about where to go, but rather you’re confused as to how your friend would even ask such a question.

“In N Out” you reply.

Now some In N Outs allow you to go inside and sit, but this one was a drive-thru with seating available outside.

“I’ll have a hamburger animal style, fries, and a strawberry shake please.”

If you’re really hungry, get a Double Double Animal Style, which is simply a double-decker burger. Now, what is animal style? Not sure, but I believe it includes: caramelized onions, bacon? (not sure), and a pink sauce…no idea, and I feel pretty comfortable not knowing. What I do know is that it is freakin’ delicious! And that shake…YUM! The fries aren’t anything to write home about, but they’re tasty nonetheless.

My daughter, who was with me, had thought In N Out was some urban legend only found in i-Carly…not the case. I am here to tell you friends that In N Out is real…So remember, when you are flying into Los Angeles (or even have a layover…there’s one conveniently located at LAX too), start your trip out right…go to In N Out, your taste buds will thank you, although your stomach may not the following morning.
